Lake tomahawk nj1/30/2023 For example, the bathrooms are all air conditioned and were very clean at all times of the day. I was really impressed that this place does not skimp or cut corners. There are also bigger water slides for older kids for an extra fee. There are two separate areas in the lake for little kids to play in and they had small slides, fountains, etc. The beach also does not get overly crowded. First, the beach on the lake is great because there are large open spaces for people who want to get some sun and there are also large shady areas under big trees for people who want to stay in the shade. There are so many great things about Lake Tomahawk. I went here for father's day weekend and had an amazing time and was very impressed with this place. This man was horrible and has no business dealing with people as he is condescending and rude. He then said - oh I was kidding and drove off. My daughters also had some words to say to him as he was so insulting to me. I said to him - you have no business saying that to me. He AGAIN proceeded to tell me I did not look handicapped. As we were walking toward the tent for our group he came up to us AGAIN in the cart. My daughters had to get out and move a bench and trash cans that were in the parking spot (which was marked handicapped). He drove off and we proceeded to park there. I was at a loss for words - who is this person to make this comment to me - based on me sitting in a car? I said to him - i assure you I am (I have a placard displayed in my car). I drove up there - and was pulling into a spot when a gray haired man in a gold cart pulled up - and said to me when i lowered my window - "you don't look handicapped". When arriving I was directed by the people at the entrance to drive up the hill to the handicapped parking near the catered party area. The facility is lovely - the staff are not. Came over the weekend for a large catered party.
